Malkit Singh MBE lives in Streetly, sutton Coldfield west Midlands with his wife Daljit and is the worlds most successful Bhangra performer and singer.

Malkit, has made 21 albums and toured 36 countries, making him Bhangra's biggest selling artist in music history.

In 2008 he was the first Punjabi singer to be honoured with an MBE by Her Majesty the Queen.

Malkit Singh was born in Husseinpur village of Jalandhar district, and when he was just a four-year-old, Malkit won admission into a school for six-year-olds by merit of his incredible singing ability.

In the 1980s Malkit formed the band Golden Star to produce some of the �old skool� Bhangra classics that continue to fill the dance floors today, including his trademark anthem �Tootak Tootak Thootian (Hey Jamalo)�.

Malkit came to Britain in 1984 from Punjab, cutting his first music album two years later, which became a trailblazer as his bhangra music grew in popular
